What kind of formal training do you have?
I am very honored to have been invited to attend the Harvard University Summer Institute on College Admissions. I am one of only a few independent college application specialist accepted to the program, as it is primarily reserved for those with a university affiliation. This highly esteemed program engages the most respected professionals in the field as presenters of current admissions expertise, and I always look forward to sharing the knowledge I gained with my students.
I also participated in a very intensive training at Claremont McKenna College in California with the premier organization in the field, the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA). Since then I have maintained a rigorous commitment to attaining the best possible results for my students and have a successful admissions record to many of the foremost schools in the country to support my training and efforts.
What do you have to offer that is different from other educational consultants?
After a 20 year career in show business in Hollywood, clients in California have hired me to strategize their student's application based on my ability to identify and promote uniqueness. My goal for every student I work with, both in Dallas and California, is completing the first three years of high school with an exceptional application packet that will grab and hold the attention of admissions officers. I put the same skills I used to catch the interest of show business professionals (one of the world's toughest audiences!) into a student’s application, with acceptance into their top choice colleges as the objective.
